Complying with statutory requirements, codes, standards and guidelines including the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984, the Occupational Safety & Health Regulations 1996, Mine Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (WA), Mine Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 (WA), requirements and in accordance with the site specific requirements of the head contractor and/or employer aiming to eliminate work related incidents in relation to our activities, products and services.
Defining roles and responsibilities for occupational health, safety and environment.
OH&S Strategies will include:
Ensuring occupational health, safety and environment management principles are included in all organisational planning activities.
Ensuring staff are properly and continuously trained in skills required for their job.
Consulting with employees and other parties to improve decision-making on occupational health, safety and environment matters.
Investigating accidents & incidents within the organisation, ensuring continued improvement in our safety standards and reduction or ideally elimination of work related injuries.
Distributing occupational health, safety and environment information, including this policy, to all employees and interested parties.
Providing enough resources to ensure occupational health, safety and environment is a central part of the organisation.
Ensuring effective injury management and rehabilitation is provided to all employees.
The Managing Director accepts ultimate responsibility for the policy and its monitoring and implementation. It is the responsibility of all managers to ensure the development, implementation and review of the programmes and procedures, and ensuring all staff are engaged in the process.All staff have a responsibility to take care of their own wellbeing and that of their fellow employees, and to take remedial action where workplace hazards are identified.
COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Crossview Enterprises Pty Ltd believe that businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and operating in a sustainable manner. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods.
It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same. Not only is this sound commercial sense for all; it is also a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations.
Our policy is to:
Wholly support and comply with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation and codes of practice.
Minimise our waste and then reuse or recycle as much of it as possible.
Minimise energy and water usage in our buildings, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies, and minimise our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.
Operate and maintain company vehicles (where appropriate) with due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical and encourage the use of alternative means of transport and car sharing as appropriate.
Apply the principles of continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from our premises and reduce any impacts from our operations on the environment and local community.
As far as possible purchase products and services that do the least damage to the environment and encourage others to do the same.
Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce in advance.
